The Next New Wineskins Conference: Hope for the Nations, Sept. 17-20, 2025

Hope. I don’t know an individual, a church, or a nation that couldn’t use more hope. As we look at our world, we see what appear to be hopeless situations all around us from our own lives and communities to global conflicts and strife. But, God… As Christians, we know that our hope is not in ourselves or any entity other than our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus is not only the hope for every person in the world, but, indeed, the hope for all nations!

One of my favorite scriptures is Romans 15:13: "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit". We need to not just know in our minds that our hope is in Christ, but we need to overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit, so that we can spread the love of Christ to all those around us and to those at the ends of the earth! For this reason, God has shown us that our theme for the 2025 New Wineskins Global Mission Conference is to be Hope for the Nations!

When we gather together as a global church every three years at Ridgecrest Conference Center, our hope is renewed as we spend time in the presence of the Lord through multicultural worship and fellowship with our global family. This year we are excited that Isaac Wardell, founder and director of Porter’s Gate Worship Project, will be leading our multicultural Anglican worship times. We have long desired more integrated and authentic ethnomusicology in our conferences, and God has appointed Isaac for this important part of our conference experience. As we enter into the Lord’s presence and still our souls, we can hear the voice of God more clearly. His voice brings healing, calling, confirmation, and especially fills us again with hope.

Another aspect of hope is looking back and seeing God’s faithfulness to us over the ages. As we celebrate our 50th anniversary as a ministry and our 30 years of hosting New Wineskins Conferences, we will hear testimonies of divine appointments at conferences resulting in mission agencies being launched, universities being built, and even Anglican provinces being birthed from this New Wineskins movement! From our main stage speakers to our Mission Awareness Presentation (MAP Talk) presenters, attendees will be inspired, encouraged, and equipped to continue to obey God’s call to fulfill the Great Commission both at home and abroad.

As participants engage with over 80 exhibitors, they see glimpses of hope in the myriad ways that so many different ministries engage in global mission. They come to understand how they can be involved by praying, giving, going, and sending. As participants meet with their diocesans and continental groups, they develop relationships and discover how they can collaborate to further global mission in their contexts. As children, youth and young adults engage with their peers and attendees of every age and ethnicity, they begin to discover their place in God’s plan and purposes to use every believer right where they are to partner with Him to bring hope to the nations.

Isaiah 40:30 encourages us: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint". I believe that participating in the 2025 New Wineskins Conference will renew your strength for your spiritual journey. I hope you will bring your families and/or come as teams because we are meant to journey together, not alone. We invite your prayers for us as we plan and prepare for you, and we want you to know we have hundreds of intercessors praying for you! Our conference scripture is Matthew 12:21: “In His name the nations will put their hope!”  Join us at the New Wineskins Conference next September and discover how you can be part of accelerating the fulfillment of this scripture in our day!
