Resources for Reaching Muslims

One of the greatest movements of people to Christ in history is happening right now among Muslim peoples. This should encourage us and spur us on to continue pressing on to the goal. For an area of outreach that can often be sensitive and challenging, we offer you practical and informative resources to join this exciting global movement of reaching Muslims for Christ.

Organizations

First, we offer you the gift of community. Here are some excellent organizations to partner with, go deeper in training, and be empowered by.

  • Crescent Project, exists to empower the body of Christ to effectively share the hope of Christ with Muslims. Their goal is to see every Muslim have an opportunity to respond to the Gospel and be connected to a true follower of Jesus.

  • International Muslim Outreach International Muslim Outreach equips the body of Christ to share the gospel with Muslims confidently and humbly. We offer prayer, training, encouragement, and resources to equip individuals and churches.

  • Encountering the World of Islam (EWI) is designed to help believers connect relationally with the Muslim community and to respectfully explain our hope in Jesus Christ, while not repeating prideful errors of the past. Participants leave the class with a working knowledge of the Islamic faith, how to get involved in reaching out to Muslims, and how to explain their beliefs to Muslims.

  • Anglican Frontier Missions (AFM) equips and sends short- and long-term cross-cultural workers who harness the spiritually formational power, practices, and rhythms of the sacraments, liturgy, and the prayer book tradition to go and disciple believers from Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, animistic, and secular backgrounds.

Watch & Listen

Rev. Fouad Masri, Founder of The Crescent Project, was a plenary speaker at the 2016 New Wineskins Conference. His talk focused on equipping Christians in "Reaching Muslims in North America." His Bridges DVD series is an excellent tool for the local parish.

In this series, Dr. Duane Miller works through the overarching stories of the two great old faiths--Christianity and Islam. How are the two similar, and how are they different?

Below is a lecture by the Rev. Dr. Duane Miller delivered at Braun Station, San Antonio, Texas, in May 2011. The lecture is on the Anglican mission in the Middle East prior to WWI and is broken into two parts.
