About The AISMN
We seek to encourage and equip Anglican churches and individuals to engage in mission ministry among International Students in their community and nearby campuses. With nearly 2 million international students studying in the U.S. and Canada, ISM is an area of mission right on our doorsteps. Many of these students come from countries that are closed, or extremely hostile, to the Gospel and to Christians. We have an amazing opportunity to reach out to these students with friendship, hospitality and maybe the Gospel!
Get Connected!
Getting connected with an organization that is already ministering to International Students is a great way to get started. These organizations can provide you with resources and support as you build relationships with students near you. Here are a few of our favorite organizations and networks of practitioners.
Association of Christians Ministering Among Internationals (ACMI) Our vision is to see a connected, effective, & healthy ISM community offering the love of Jesus to international students & scholars. Annual Conference, ACMI Membership, and ACMI Link
InterVarsity ISM: Intervarsity Christian Fellowship is a national campus ministry that is part of the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students, a global network of indigenous campus ministries in 170 countries. Intervarsity has a growing ISM department.
International Friendships Inc. (IFI) is a community organization that works in partnership with universities and Christian volunteers to promote friendship and hospitality for international students, scholars, and their families.
International Students Inc. (ISI) exists to share Christ’s love with international students and to equip them for effective service in cooperation with the local church and others.
Bridges International exists to serve and mobilize the international student population in the USA and abroad. Many of our staff have lived, studied, and worked overseas. We understand the unique challenges facing international students.
Lausanne Movement's International Student Ministry Issue Network seeks to enhance the development of the ISM ‘movement’ globally through the collaborative efforts of the ISM Global Leadership Network (GLN).
