The Anglican Church in North America will host Jesus Is a Jew: Does That Affect the Gospel?, a one-day conference exploring Jesus's Jewish identity and what it means for our understanding of the gospel.
In the decades since the Holocaust, Christian scholars have wrestled with difficult questions about historic Christian understandings of Jews and Judaism. How could the Holocaust take place in one of the most Christianized nations in Europe and in the birthplace of the Reformation? Have Christians misunderstood important aspects of Judaism and the Jewish identity of Jesus? And what implications might these questions have for how Christians understand and proclaim the gospel?
The conference will bring together Anglican leaders, clergy, and scholars for presentations, discussion, Q&A, and fellowship. Seating is limited to 200.
