Update from St. Peter's Sewing School, West Bengal

Information in this blog post comes from the June 2022 newspaper of the Anglican Church of West Bengal and is reposted with permission.

St. Peter’s sewing school in West Bengal, India is a Covid-19 rehabilitation program for women who have lost their jobs and migrated back home. The program gives women the skill of sewing and enables them to produce cloths that are sold in the local market.

The sewing school now has nineteen women in the program who have started to make designed bags that are being sold in the local market. The women are also planning to send some of the bags they make to the New Wineskins conference in September.

Attendees at the 2022 New Wineskins Global Mission Conference: One Mission in September can expect to see these bags in the exhibit hall at Ridgecrest Conference Center when they come!
