Announcing the Launch of the Anglican Introduction to Missions Curriculum
New Wineskins Missionary Network is excited to announce the launch of our first global mission curriculum: An Anglican Introduction to Missions (AIM)! The course AIMs to highlight the rich theological, historical, cultural, and strategic aspects of global missions with a focus on the Anglican Communion. The purpose, intention, or AIM of this training is for every Jesus follower in the Anglican Church in North America to be meaningfully engaged with the frontiers of missions by praying, welcoming, sending, supporting, or going to those who have never heard the gospel of Jesus Christ.
A Day in the Life of an Urban Missionary
Thursdays are my busiest and best days! As I drifted off to sleep this past Thursday night, I thanked God for the life He has given me. To be honest, when John and I answered the call to move to Baltimore, I had no idea this is what it would be like, but I wouldn't change it for anything.
New Wineskins Conference Testimony from the Chases
When we attended New Wineskins in 2022, God confirmed to us over and over that we were right where we needed to be. That we are missionaries in a city that desperately needs the love of Jesus.…
What is ARDF?
The Anglican Relief and Development Fund has been around since 2004, but with this long name it can sometimes be confusing to know who they are and what they do. Thankfully, their mission can be explained by their acronym: ARDF.
Draw Near, Contend for Shalom Lent Day 14: Local Anglicans On The Street
Recognizing this disconnect between the cost of living and employment opportunities for “low-skilled” workers, Crystal established the Lagniappe Center (pronounced lan-yap and meaning “something extra”) in the basement of Grace Anglican Church. The Lagniappe Center is a leadership and job-skills development initiative designed to equip low-income parents for living-wage employment.
Steps to Finding the Lost (Part 4)
This is the last in our series on steps to finding the lost. In the previous parts (which you can find here, here and here), we saw that there are 3 essential steps to reaching the lost. Being aware and seeing that people are lost without Christ, praying to God for laborers for the harvest among them and finally, taking actionable steps to “send and go.” I would like to end with some practical steps that we as C4SO churches collectively can take.

Finding Those Called to Go
Today we need both individuals and churches praying and fasting, asking God to show them who he is calling and then bravely stepping up to commission and send them. According to Joshua Project, there are still 7,402 unreached people groups who need to hear the hope of Jesus. We need field partners that are willing to be pioneers, frontline workers for these people groups that will not be easy to reach. Has God already been speaking to you about someone? If so, in the words of Ananias, “What are you waiting for?” (Acts 22:16).
Encountering the Unexpected with Uncommon Grounds
My experience at Uncommon Grounds Cafe, a ministry of Church Army, was rewarding in an unexpected way.
Every Parish a Missional Parish
It was the fall of 1994 and a church plant group in the western suburbs of Fairfax County, Virginia, was excited to finally be calling its first official rector.
How do I meet local Muslims?
Churches and ministries approach me with questions about ministry to Muslims and ask for our advice and help quite often. It is a part of our ministry I really enjoy. One of the most common questions is, how do we meet Muslims?
World Mission Sunday Resources All in One Place
Anglican Global Mission Partners (AGMP) have teamed up to provide a variety of resources that will help you plan a missions service or event. This year we've created a special web page just for World Mission Sunday (WMS).
Returning from a Conference
The flight home from a conference is always a mixed bag. A number of years ago, I returned from Plano, Texas, where we held our Anglican 1000 gathering affirming our commitment to new churches. I was full of vision and energy. Scribbling in a notepad on my seat-back tray, I wrote notes of new friends and old, ideas and vision, challenges and goals. Could there be a more exciting time for a minister of the gospel? We were planting churches!
