In Memory of The Rev. Mike Flynn
New Wineskins is grateful to God for the life and legacy of the Rev. Mike Flynn who passed away this week. Fr. Mike was a fixture at New Wineskins Conferences, leading prayer ministry sessions on inner healing and anointings for ministry at nine conferences over 28 years. Fr. Mike’s FreshWind Ministries had a global impact on the Body of Christ. His desire was that every Christian might be filled with the Holy Spirit, find healing and wholeness through the power of forgiveness and restoration, and discover the unique giftings for service that the Holy Spirit imparts to all believers. His ministry was famous for activating believers to be fruitful for the expansion of the Kingdom of God.
I received a powerful anointing at a New Wineskins conference years ago through Fr. Mike’s ministry that envisioned me helping people find their place in God’s global mission. I had no idea what that word of knowledge meant at that time. That was over a decade before I actually accepted this job to lead the ministry of New Wineskins Missionary Network! We will never know all the fruit of Fr. Mike’s ministry this side of heaven, but we know he is now there in the presence of our precious Jesus, hearing, “Well done, good and faithful servant!” and receiving his eternal reward.
The New Wineskins Community honors his life, ministry and witness, and is praying for his wife Sue, of 61 years of marriage, their children and 9 children, and all those around the world whose lives were impacted by this great man of God!
