God Calls Families Into His Mission Fields

The letter below is from the son of an Anglican missionary couple in Spain. We wanted to share this story as a beautiful testimony to how God calls and uses families and children in the mission field. Enjoy the read!

Dear friends and family,

It's night time in the USA, and the moon above is from my sister, Amelia Miller

Greetings from Madrid!

In case you don’t know me, I’m David, son of Duane and Sharon Miller. I just wanted to share with everybody some of the things we’ve been doing this past year to bring the Word of God to Spain!

The Arabic fellowship, Kanisa, continues to grow! We have already had our first baptism for a young Morrocan Lady and I was in charge of the Audiovisual management :D

We’ve also managed to launch Light Madrid, our main missionary team for reaching Spaniards. We have found a nice location called La Mesa (which translated means “The Table”). We get together every other Saturday to talk and share about God. We’ve only just started but I can feel that God is going to do great things through Light Madrid.

And now, a bit more personally, my sisters and I have been sharing God’s word at school. I have already managed to invite a good amount of friends to church and I’ve gotten some of them asking me some very sincere questions about God and The Bible.

It is very encouraging to know that God has sent our family here not only because of my parents, but also because of me and my sisters. Just a little reminder that we’re not just two missionaries and their three kids, rather a Missionary family!

—David Julian Miller

This is the Puerta de Toledo. It used to be part of the old city walls and people would go out through this gate to get to the city of Toledo. I drew it because it is close to our new church plant, Light Madrid. —Samantha Miller
